Nou document de la Taula per a la Interpretació de la Normativa de Seguretat Contra Incendis
La Taula per a la Interpretació de la Normativa de Seguretat contra Incendis (TINSCI) ha publicat un nou document: DT-18 “Sectorització de conductes d’extracció de fums de les cuines”.
L’objecte d’aquest document és aclarir les condicions mínimes de sectorització a aplicar en els conductes d’extracció de fums de les cuines, estiguin o no classificades com a local de risc especial. És d’aplicació a tots els usos contemplats al CTE DB-SI, excepte les cuines de l’ús residencial habitatge.
Així mateix, s’han actualitzat puntualment els documents següents:
- DT-5 “Aparcaments amb places tancades”
- DT-9 “Control de fums en els aparcaments”
- DT-17 “Modificació significativa”

L'objectiu de la TINSCI, de la qual el COAC forma part, és homogeneïtzar criteris d'aplicació de la normativa vigent de protecció contra incendis per al desenvolupament dels projectes tècnics.
S'obre la convocatòria per presentar projectes a la XVI Biennal Espanyola d'Arquitectura i Urbanisme
Convocada pel Ministeri de Transports, Mobilitat i Agenda Urbana, en col·laboració amb el CSCAE i la Fundación Arquia, la cita reunirà la producció més destacable de l'arquitectura i l'urbanisme espanyols dels dos últims anys.
Amb el títol "Me–dio Pla–zo" i sota el comissariat dels arquitectes María González García, Juan José López de la Cruz i Ángel Martínez García-Posada, la XVI BEAU vol reflexionar sobre la capacitat de l'arquitectura i l'urbanisme per transformar el futur a través de les inquietuds del nostre present.
Convocatòria de projectes
La convocatòria de la XVI BEAU consta de tres temàtiques:
· Obres: es premiaran els projectes construïts per arquitectes espanyols que el jurat destaqui pels seus valors innovadors, culturals, espaials, tècnics, funcionals, econòmics, socials, de sostenibilitat i eficiència ambiental, en sintonia amb el tema de la BEAU. Termini d'inscripcions: 14 d'abril a les 14 h
· Investigació i Difusió: es valoraran els treballs que ajudin al desenvolupament del coneixement arquitectònic i la seva transmissió a la societat des de diversos formats, des de publicacions impreses fins a suports digitals. Termini d'inscripcions: 19 d'abril a les 14 h
· Projectes Final de Carrera: se seleccionaran els projectes i recerques més destacats d'estudiants de les Escoles d'Arquitectura espanyoles com a mostra de l'arquitectura que està per arribar. Termini d'inscripcions: 28 d'abril a les 14 h
En tots els casos, es podran presentar treballs realitzats entre l'1 de gener de 2021 i el 31 de desembre de 2022.
El jurat
Juntament amb l'equip de comissaris, formaran part del jurat el Director General d'Agenda Urbana i Arquitectura, Iñaqui Carnicero; la presidenta del CSCAE, Marta Vall-llossera Ferran, i el president de la Fundación Arquia, Francisco Javier Navarro Martínez.

MORE THAN 300 ARCHITECTS HAVE RECEIVED FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND ADVICE FROM THE COAC SOC
Most of the professionals have requested help for economic reasons, well ahead of other cases such as situations of dependency, disability, long-term illness or mental health. The COAC SOC has awarded a total of 491 forms of financial support, of which 38% were direct loans, 49% were rebates on Association fees, and 13% were either in the form of debt forgiveness (6%) or extraordinary aid (7%).
Men accounted for 56% of the total number of requests for financial support, with woman accounting for the remaining 44%. By age group, 43% of the architecture professionals seeking the COAC SOC’s services were between 40 and 60, followed by those under 40, who account for 29%and, finally, those over 60, with 28%.
A service with a long history
The COAC SOC offers financial support, advice, personal counsel and professional guidance to Association members. It also wants to expand its objectives to include the promotion of entrepreneurship, innovation and other initiatives that will help ground the service and enhance its professional activity.
We want to continue supporting the architects who need it most. For this reason, we encourage you to support the COAC SOC with a voluntary annual fee of 12 euros or any other one-off contribution you would like to make. COAC ONCE AGAIN AT ARCHITECT@WORK BARCELONA
The Architects’ Association of Catalonia will again be present at Architect@Work Barcelona. This year’s trade show, which will take place on 15 and 16 March at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), will revolve around the theme “Natural Resources”.
Architect@Work has been held since 2003 in different European cities with the aim of publicising the latest trends in the sector, in a relaxed atmosphere that facilitates networking between professionals and companies. It includes a programme of side events with the participation of prominent speakers.
The COAC will there with a stand that aims to highlight the role of architecture in improving people’s health and the energy efficiency of buildings. The COAC Building Rehabilitation Technical Office will be there to offer information on NextGenerationEU funds for the rehabilitation of homes. In addition, as part of the show’s programme of events, the COAC is holding the conference “Decarbonising Architecture”, by Albert Cuchí, president of the Architecture and Sustainability Association (AuS).
COAC conference: Decarbonising Architecture
Decarbonisation is a decisive challenge facing our society, and architecture is no stranger to this: there will be no transition to a decarbonised society without an energy-efficient building stock. The conference, which will be held on 16 March 16 at 6 pm, wants to show how decarbonisation is changing the profession and the leadership role we as architects have to assume.
Through its participation in the event, the COAC hopes to continue working to make the profession a determining asset. It already began working towards this objective, and the Sustainable Development Goals, when it first organised the “Decarbonising Architecture” conference last November, which was well attended.
