Taula rodona: "El repte de fer-se la casa"
En el marc de la presentació, s'ha organitzat una Taula Rodona amb el títol "El repte de fer-se la casa", que serà moderada per E. Antoni Vilanova, delegat de l'Alt Empordà, i comptarà amb la participació de:
- Juli Llueca, arquitecte i autor del llibre "Guía emocional del autopromotor"
- Eugeni Bach, arquitecte i autor del llibre "Más vivienda por menos"
- Marc Darnés, representant de la Unió d’Empresaris de la Construcció de Girona
- Tomàs Sánchez Garcés, autopromotor reincident

La decisió de promoure un mateix la seva casa neix de la il·lusió de tenir-la personalitzada, però precisa de molta voluntat i esforç per entrar en el complicat món de la construcció. Aquest llibre pretén facilitar aquesta decisió i aplanar el camí, aportant informació privilegiada i molt útil sobre els conceptes involucrats en el funcionament de tot el procés: soluciona dubtes en temes relacionats amb parcel·les, urbanisme, notaris, impostos, arquitectes, aparelladors, constructors, banquers, veïns i burocràcia. I informa, també, sobre les novetats en la concepció i construcció de cases, temes que es barregen amb reflexions sobre els desitjos, fantasies i conflictes que envolten el procés.

Convening of the Architectural Awards of the Counties of Girona 2016
The Girona branch office of the Architects’ Association of Catalonia is convening the 19th edition of the Architectural Awards of the Counties of Girona, with the aim of evaluating the architecture carried out within the branch’s region, in order to demonstrate the quality and precision of its professionals.
Work submitted for the Awards can represent different levels of scale and varieties in the type of intervention or environment, and will be assigned to one of the following three categories: Architecture, Exterior Spaces and Temporary Spaces.
This year, the Jury judging the projects will be chaired by the architect Andrew Groarke (United Kingdom), along with members Ramon Sanabria i Boix (Barcelona), Claudi Aguiló i Aran (Barcelona) and Lídia Parada i Soler (Figueres), accompanied by a member of the current Board of the Girona branch of the COAC, acting as secretary without vote.
The awards will be:
Jury Awards: The Jury will bestow an award per category: Architecture, Exterior Spaces and Temporary Spaces.
Opinion Award: The works selected by the Jury will compete for the 'Opinion Award for Culture and Industry', where professionals in cultural and communication management, on the one hand, and those from technical research and industrial production, on the other, will choose one of the works to be given the award.
The deadline for submitting proposals is March 1, 2016.

Exhibition by Lo Siento in Girona
The team of graphic designers Lo Siento, comprising Borja Martínez and Gerard Miró, is taking part in the series of exhibitions 'La Cova. About Technique', with the show 'Disseny a foc lent' (Design on a simmering heat), in which they consider their own particular vision of technique. The show can be visited at the Girona branch office from 4 December 2015 to 14 February 2016.
Graphic design is, traditionally, a visual communication tool. We are accustomed to perceiving graphic information using our sense of sight. Returning to traditional techniques prior to the digital age, using the third dimension and a physical approach to graphic solutions, has enabled us to perceive graphic design using other senses, redefining the relationship between graphic design and the material. Graphics that you can see, touch, drink or eat.
The exhibition series 'La Cova. About Technique', managed by the Girona branch's Department of Culture since October 2014, aims to reveal alternative ways of imagining, planning, composing, assembling, mixing, constructing, executing and post-producing a project.

LO SIENTO
Borja Martínez graduated as a graphic designer from the London College of Communication. Sole founder of Lo Siento in 2005, he is part of the general assembly of FAD (Fostering Arts and Design) and currently gives classes at the IDEP design school.
Gerard Miró graduated as a graphic designer from the EINA University School of Design and Art in Barcelona, currently gives classes at the IDEP design school and participates in the master’s degree course on Branding and Packaging at the BAU School of Design. The two form part of the Lo Siento studio, specializing in corporate identity and packaging and known for bringing a physical and hand-crafted approach to graphic solutions. They develop graphic and art direction projects for clients as diverse as El Bulli (catering), Roca (sanitary ware), Easyled (lighting), Pinkertones (electronic music), Sandro Desii (food packaging), Triticum (food packaging), DHUB (design museum), IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia), O, The Oprah Magazine (communication), OFF Fest (design festival), NOMO Group (catering), "la Caixa" (exhibition) and Audi (automotive).
The studio has been recognised with a number of Laus and Grand Laus Awards since 2010 in the categories of packaging, lettering, identity and naming. Currently the studio comprises a team of six professionals and takes part in a number of festivals around the world (Spain, USA, England, Italy, Mexico, Brazil…), giving workshops and lectures.
Convocados los Premios de Arquitectura de las Comarcas de Girona 2016
La Demarcación de Girona del Colegio de Arquitectos de Catalunya convoca la 19ª edición de los Premios de Arquitectura de las Comarcas de Girona, con el objetivo de valorar la arquitectura hecha en el ámbito territorial de la Demarcación, para mostrar la calidad y rigor de los profesionales.
A los Premios se pueden presentar obras que aborden diferentes escalas de trabajo, varias formas de intervención y entornos dispares, que se adscribirán a una de las tres categorías siguientes: Arquitectura, Espacios Exteriores y Espacios Efímeros.
Este año, el Jurado que valorará los proyectos está presidido por el arquitecto Andrew Groarke (Reino Unido), y por los vocales Ramon Sanabria Boix (Barcelona), Claudi Aguiló Aran (Barcelona) y Lidia Parada Soler (Figueres), acompañados por un miembro de la actual Junta Directiva de la Demarcación de Girona del COAC, que actuará como secretario sin voto.
En esta ocasión los Premios serán:
PREMIOS DEL JURADO: El Jurado otorgará un premio por cada categoría: Arquitectura, Espacios Exteriores y Espacios Efímeros.
PREMIO DE LA OPINIÓN: Las obras seleccionadas por el Jurado optan al "Premio de la opinión de la Cultura y de la Industria", donde profesionales de la gestión cultural y de la comunicación, por un lado, y de la investigación tecnológica y la producción industrial, por otro, escogen una de las obras para el galardón.
El plazo para presentar propuestas termina el martes 1 de marzo a las 14 h.
