After representing Catalonia at the 15th Venice Biennale, the exhibition "Aftermath_Architecture beyond architects" is now being shown at the Arts Santa Monica Centre, in Barcelona.

"Aftermath_Architecture beyond architects" focuses on lived-in architecture when the architects are no longer present and users continue the architectural experience every day.

The exhibition, curated by Catalan architects Jaume Prat and Jelena Prokopljević along with filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta, highlights seven public architectural interventions chosen as examples of architecture that improves the relationship between users and their surroundings.

The works exhibited are: Environmental rehabilitation of the Llobregat River, by Batlle i Roig Arquitectes (Enric Batlle and Joan Roig); Cerdanya Cross-Border Hospital, by Brullet-Pineda Arquitectes (Manuel Brullet, Alfonso de Luna, Albert de Pineda); Torre Júlia Assisted Housing for Seniors, by Pau Vidal, Sergi Pons and Ricard Galiana; Atlantida Performing Arts Centre, by Josep Llinàs, Josep Llobet, Pedro Ayesta and Laia Vives; Food Distribution Centre - Campclar, by NUA Arquitectures (Maria Rius, Arnau Tiñena, Ferran Tiñena); Saint-Roch Parking Garage, by Archikubik (Marc Chalamanch, Miquel Lacasta, Carmen Santana); Can Batlló, by LaCol Architects’ Cooperative.
