On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 7:30 p.m., we will have the opportunity to listen to the presentation of the book "Gaudí en Madrid. Ciclo de mesas. Madrid, abril-mayo de 2002 (reedición)". A presentation where Ignacio Buqueras, promoter of the book, Jordi Romera, president of the Tarragona Demarcation of the College of Architects of Catalonia, Joan Mercadé, architect and scientific director of the Jujol chair and Santiago Castellano, professor at the URV, will intervene.

On the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Antonio Gaudí, the Fundación Independente organized from April 3 to May 8, 2002, in six prestigious Madrid entities, a very important Ciclo, so that the life and work of Gaudí was studied, analyzed and debated. The cycle began at the Centro Cultural de la Villa of Madrid and was closed at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. Between both acts, Mesas en el Ateneo, Fundación Cultural del Colegio de Arquitectos, the Centro Cultural Blanquerna and the Círculo de Bellas Artes.
Three prominent historians spoke to us about "Gaudí en su tiempo". Three well-known Gaudí biographers spoke at the table dedicated to "Gaudí y su biografía". The session in which "Gaudí arquitecto" was addressed had four speakers of singular importance. The table "Gaudí y la Sagrada Familia" was dedicated to his capital work. It was obligatory that a session be dedicated to "Gaudí y el Modernismo". The cycle was closed with the table "Gaudí y su proyección". Notable personalities took part in all of them.
The book Gaudí in Madrid, promoted by the Fundación Independente and published in 2002, comprehensively covers the events held. This re-edition, improved and updated, is published by the Fundación ADIPROPE and Centro Gaudí Madrid, on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary.
