XIII Alejandro de la Sota Biennial
The objective is to distinguish the most significant works that have been built in the 2021-2022 biennium in the territorial scope of the Demarcation (counties of Alt Camp, Baix Camp, Baix Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat and Tarragonès) .
From Monday 31 July 2023 registrations opened. Works could be submitted online. The registration period ended on Thursday, September 29, 2023.

The event begins with the welcome of the president of the Tarragona Demarcation of the COAC, Jordi Romera i Cid, and with the intervention of the architect Josep Llinàs.
Next, the secretary of the Biennial reveals the Jury's verdict with the selected, finalist and winning works. The 7th Alejandro de la Sota Prize is also awarded.
The dean of the COAC, Guim Costa Calsamiglia, closes the event.
Next, we have the opportunity to listen to a lecture by Cierto Estudio. The architect Carlota de Gispert has been a member of the jury of the XIII Alejandro de la Sota Biennial - Mostra d'Arquitectura de Tarragona.
Finally, the exhibition of this sample is inaugurated where you can see all the works that have been entered in this contest.

XIII Bienal Alejandro de la Sota
El objetivo es distinguir las obras más significativas que se han construido en el bienio 2021-2022 en el ámbito territorial de la Demarcación (comarcas del Alt Camp, el Baix Camp, el Baix Penedès, la Conca de Barberà, el Priorat y el Tarragonès).
A partir del lunes 31 de julio de 2023 se abrieron las inscripciones. Las obras se podían presentar por vía telemática. El plazo de inscripciones finalizó el jueves 29 de septiembre de 2023.

El acto se inicia con la bienvenida del presidente de la Demarcación de Tarragona del COAC, Jordi Romera i Cid, y con la intervención del arquitecto Josep Llinás.
A continuación, la secretaria de la Bienal, desvela el veredicto del Jurado con las obras seleccionadas, finalistas y ganadoras. También se otorga el 7º Premio Alejandro de la Sota.
Cierra el acto el decano del COAC, Guim Costa Calsamiglia.
Seguidamente, tenemos la oportunidad de escuchar una conferencia de Cierto Estudio. La arquitecta Carlota de Gispert ha sido miembro del jurado de la XIII Bienal Alejandro de la Sota - Muestra de Arquitectura de Tarragona.
Finalmente, se inaugura la exposición de esta muestra donde se pueden ver todas las obras que se han inscrito en este certamen.

L'objectiu és distingir les obres més significatives que s'han construït en el bienni 2021-2022 en l'àmbit territorial de la Demarcació (comarques de l'Alt Camp, el Baix Camp, el Baix Penedès, la Conca de Barberà, el Priorat i el Tarragonès).
L'acte s'inicia amb la benvinguda del president de la Demarcació de Tarragona del COAC, Jordi Romera i Cid, i amb l'intervenció de l’arquitecte Josep Llinàs.

Submissions open for the UIA World Architecture Congress international curation contest
The Congress is designed as an opportunity to rethink and update the formats and themes that architecture congresses should adopt. This is why the candidates for the team of curators will undergo an unprecedented international selection process at the UIA with a two-round competition.
READ THE RULES
For the first stage, with a deadline of 7 September, the submissions must determine the theme, motto and objectives of the Congress and its thematic and content development. Five finalist submissions will be selected in this first round and they will have to make a final submission before 15 November. The members of the team will be studied, as well as their professional profiles and career paths. The winning team will be announced during December 2023.
The event is mainly aimed at architects, but also at professionals from other disciplines who are interested in participating. One of the objectives of the Congress is to show architecture as a crosscutting tool for improving life in society, opening the door to creating multidisciplinary teams. Though always led by an architecture professional, these teams will also incorporate profiles from other spheres.
The competition awards 150,000 euros in fees for the winning team. A financial compensation package of 6,000 euros is also planned for the teams that make it to the second round but are not selected as the winner.
A jury of renowned prestige
The members of the team of curators will be chosen by the administrations promoting it, together with a committee of renowned and prestigious experts formed by the following architects: Ángela García de Paredes, Beth Capdeferro[Lt1] , Carme Pigem, José María Sánchez, Josep Bohigas, Josep Ferrando, Josep Lluís Mateo, María Hurtado de Mendoza, Philip Ursprung and Zaida Muxí.
