The Postgraduate Degree in Facility Management at the Sert School wins an award for its educational achievements

The postgraduate degree in Facility Management at the Sert School, given by architects and facility managers Felip Neri Gordi and Lluís Dalmau, has won the Extraordinary Jury Prize given annually by Facility Management & Services magazine, Spain's point of reference in facility management.The award recognises the school’s achievements in teaching professionals in both the private and public sectors and its efforts to improve and professionalise the industry.
The postgraduate course at the Sert School has now been running for six years, and the seventh will be starting this September, led by the School of Public Administration as in the past two years. The course covers the functions of facility management in six modules, including planning, heritage management, project management, maintenance and service contracts, venue management and expenses and investments related to facility management. The course is aimed at all those interested architects and other professionals from public administration.
A boost for professional facility management
The prize-giving ceremony was held on 4 July as part of the sixth Facility M&S Meeting organised by the magazine, and focused on digitisation from the perspective of facility management. Entitled “El impacto de la digitalización en el FM. Innovaciones" (The Impact of Digitisation on FM: Innovations), the event addressed the impact of the IoT (Internet of Things) and new technologies in the field in Spain.
