The architects Òscar Tusquets, Lluís Clotet and Ignacio Paricio have donated their documentary holdings to the Archive of the Architects’ Association of Catalonia.
Tusquets and Clotet began their independent professional practice in 1964 when they founded Studio PER, a studio shared with the architects Pep Bonet and Cristian Cirici. The latter two were the designers of the first building that housed the COAC Archive. Their professional association lasted until 1984, when the firm split. Tusquets began working on his own, and Clotet joined forces with the architect Ignacio Paricio.
The scope of these architects’ activity is extraordinarily broad, ranging from town planning to product design, in addition to building design at every scale, interior design and industrial design. With the addition of Ignacio Paricio, their activities also expanded into research.
During the first quarter of 2017, the COAC will house an exhibition of Archive materials related to several of the architects’ designs, jointly and individually, which constitute a paradigmatic example of a working style that characterizes and distinguishes all of the periods in their careers up to the present.
