Conociendo las masías del Baix Empordà
Las masías han sido seleccionadas por su valor patrimonial y también por la voluntad de conocer los diferentes procesos productivos que sustentaban las masías y cómo se están adaptando a los requerimientos actuales de vida, explotación agroganadera, usos turísticos, etc.
La primera de las salidas tendrá lugar el sábado 21 de febrero y se visitarán masías del Baix Empordà.
La visita es gratuita pero requiere inscripción previa.
Congreso del mundo de la masía
El Congreso, que se celebrará en Barcelona del 11 al 13 de marzo de 2015, está promovido por la Sección de Historia Rural de la Institución Catalana de Estudios Agrarios (ICEA), filial del Instituto de Estudios Catalanes (IEC).
El certamen se plantea como una oportunidad para debatir cuál es el estado actual de la casa o la masía y su entorno, para comprenderlo y, teniendo en cuenta su historia, impulsar el futuro que en muchos casos ya se ha iniciado.

Model of Barcelona: a new permanent installation
The Architects' Association of Catalonia presents a new permanent installation on the City of Barcelona, which can be visited in the headquarters' lobby. This installation consists of a model of Barcelona, at 1/4,000 scale, on which audiovisual projections are screened through mapping technology, thus explaining different ideas and concepts about our city and its history.
This new installation has been inaugurated on February 20th with a visit by the Mayor of Barcelona, Xavier Trias, accompanied by the Association's Dean, Lluís Comerón.
'Model of Barcelona. Projections on the City' is intended to bring to the public different architectural and urban realities of Barcelona, and at the same time create debate about them. The model provides the opportunity to visualize all that the city is offering, captivate the audience and become a benchmark when it comes to the understanding of the urban and architectural evolution of the city.
Programme
The installation opens with the screening of the audiovisual 'Building the Contemporary Barcelona'. This video shows the history and growth of the city, explaining the urban events that have helped it become one of the capitals of the world.
Throughout the year, the installation will feature successive videos which will focus on issues such as the relationship between different neighbourhoods, the shaping of the current city after the union of several old towns, and their relationship with the Eixample. Moreover, the screenings will also show different itineraries of architectural interest, which will emphasize their most iconic buildings and spaces.
The model has been built by the ETSAV-UPC Modelling Workshop.
The installation has the support of EPSON.

Les masies han estat seleccionades pel seu valor patrimonial i també per la voluntat de conèixer els diferents processos productius que sustentaven els masos i com s’estan adaptant als requeriments actuals de vida, explotació agroramadera, usos turístics, etc.
La primera de les sortides tindrà lloc el dissabte 21 de febrer i es visitaran masies del Baix Empordà.

El certamen es planteja com una oportunitat per debatre quin és l’estat actual del mas o la masia i el seu entorn, per comprendre’l i, tenint en compte la seva història, impulsar el futur que en molts casos ja s’ha encetat.
