As part of the 'Cities Connection Project · Architectures in transition' programme, we have the opportunity to listen to a conference by the architects of h3o architects and Thomas Weckerle.
At h3o they seek to create spaces that transcend the ordinary, fostering meaningful connections between people, contexts and nature. At the intersection of fantasy and theory, his projects weave new spatial and social possibilities that respond to the contemporary challenges of architecture.
Bruck + Weckerle Architekten's approach, which is both urbanistic and programmatic, aims to use the functional potential of a building task on a specific site and develop building volumes from it. The formal reduction and the examination of typologies and materials are an expression of his architecture.
The Cities Connection Project · Architectures in transition' program includes an exhibition that can be seen from February 20 to April 11, in the COAC Tarragona exhibition hall, and three conferences:

Exposición | 'Cities Connection Project · Arquitecturas en transición'
Esta edición de 'Cities Connection Project · Arquitecturas en transición' conecta la Barcelona Metropolitana con las regiones europeas de Valonia-Bruselas, Luxemburgo y Gran Este, ampliando la red de profesionales e instituciones implicadas. La reutilización del patrimonio construido y la responsabilidad social son los puntos comunes de los 60 proyectos expuestos, mostrando diferentes enfoques y procesos probados por arquitectos de contextos heterogéneos.
El cambio climático y las nuevas políticas de sostenibilidad tienen, cada vez más, un impacto en la práctica arquitectónica, que se plantea desde un posicionamiento más ético respecto al medio natural. Priorización de la rehabilitación respecto a la demolición, sistemas de construcción sostenibles y respetuosos con el medio ambiente, así como la normalización de una arquitectura atenta a la economía circular, con la reutilización de materiales, nos indican que tanto el arquitecto como el resto de agentes implicados, empiezan a tomar conciencia como actores socialmente responsables.
Esta edición CCP07 muestra una serie de proyectos de arquitectura en transición, básicamente de promoción pública y de una gran calidad, que favorecen la reutilización de espacios existentes, el uso inteligente de sistemas constructivos y materiales duraderos, edificios con más eficiencia energética, así como programas mixtos que contribuyen a la agrupación de actividades y la interacción entre los usuarios. En definitiva, proyectos que muestran una transición hacia una arquitectura más ética y de menor impacto ambiental, proceso largo y lleno de obstáculos, pero irreversible, al fin y al cabo.
La exposición se podrá ver del 20 de febrero al 11 de abril, en la sala de exposiciones del COAC Tarragona. Dentro de la programación del 'Cities Connection Project · Arquitecturas en transición' tendremos la oportunidad de disfrutar de tres conferencias::

Exhibition 'Cities Connection Project · Architectures in transition'
This edition of 'Cities Connection Project · Architectures in transition' connects Metropolitan Barcelona with the European regions of Wallonia-Brussels, Luxembourg and Gran Est, expanding the network of professionals and institutions involved. The reuse of built heritage and social responsibility are the common points of the 60 projects on display, showing different approaches and processes tested by architects from heterogeneous contexts.
Climate change and new sustainability policies are increasingly having an impact on architectural practice, which is considered from a more ethical position with respect to the natural environment. Prioritization of rehabilitation over demolition, sustainable and environmentally friendly construction systems, as well as the normalization of an architecture attentive to the circular economy, with the reuse of materials, indicate that both the architect and the rest of the agents involved are beginning to become aware as socially responsible actors.
This CCP07 edition shows a series of architectural projects in transition, basically of public promotion and of a high quality, which favor the reuse of existing spaces, the intelligent use of constructive systems and durable materials, buildings with more energy efficiency, as well as mixed programs that contribute to the grouping of activities and the interaction between users. In short, projects that show a transition towards a more ethical architecture with less environmental impact, a long process full of obstacles, but irreversible, after all.

Dins de la programació de 'Cities Connection Project · Arquitectures en transició' tenim l'oportunitat d'escoltar una conferència dels arquitectes de l'estudi h3o architects i Thomas Weckerle.
En h3o busquen crear espais que transcendeixin l'ordinari, fomentant connexions significatives entre persones, contextos i naturalesa. En la intersecció de la fantasia i la teoria, els seus projectes teixeixen noves possibilitats espacials i socials que responguin als desafiaments contemporanis de l'arquitectura.
L'enfocament de Bruck + Weckerle Architekten, que és tant urbanístic com programàtic, té com a objectiu utilitzar el potencial funcional d'una tasca d'edifici en un lloc específic i desenvolupar volums d'edifici a partir d'aquest. La reducció formal i l'examen de tipologies i materials són expressió de la seva arquitectura.
