As part of the exhibition "Matter Fever. Approaches to the Antituberculosis Dispensary of Raval, Barcelona", the Barcelona Demarcation of the COAC is organizing the
round table "The Future of the Antituberculosis Dispensary in Debate". The event, which is part of this year's Architecture Weeks, will take place on Thursday,
May 15 at 7 p.m. at the
àngels barcelona Gallery (c. Pintor Fortuny, 27).
The aim of the event is to create a public debate space to reflect on the future of this emblematic modernist building in Barcelona. Thus, voices from various fields such as architecture, health, heritage, and community will be brought into dialogue.
The round table, moderated by the president of the Barcelona Demarcation of the COAC,
Sandra Bestraten, will feature representatives from the Diputació de Barcelona, CatSalut, and the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona.
Pre-registration is required to attend the round table Exhibition on the Antituberculosis Dispensary
The exhibition "Matter Fever. Approaches to the Antituberculosis Dispensary of Raval, Barcelona" can be visited until May 24 and includes photographs by Gregori Civera and Jorge Ribalta, showing current images of this historic building, currently in use as a primary care outpatient clinic in Raval Nord.
The exhibition arrives at a key moment, coinciding with the start of construction of the new outpatient clinic at the Capella de la Misericòrdia, in the Plaça dels Àngels, and raises questions about the future of the Antituberculosis Dispensary.
